dc.description.abstractABSTRACT INTRODUCTION: Patient satisfaction is becoming an emerging health policy all over the world. It is a key determinant of quality of care and an important component of pay-for-performance metrics. Furthermore, patient satisfaction is critical to ensure how well patients do; many research clearly identified a link between patient outcomes and patient satisfaction scores. Patient satisfaction is multifaceted and a very challenging outcome to define. It seems easy to understand but hard to define. Satisfaction is not a preexisting phenomenon waiting to be measured, rather a judgment people made reflecting their experience under specific circumstances. A simple and practical definition of satisfaction would be the degree to which desired goals have been achieved OBJECTIVE; to assess level of satisfaction towards in patient service among care givers in st paul’s hospital millinium medical college department ofpediatric and child health. METHODS: Hospital based cross sectional Study design was used. The target population was all care giver in pediatrics medical ward, pediatrics surgical ward, PICU and NICU during data collection period and stayed at least two or more days. Simple random sampling 600 admitted children are found. The calculated sample size is 268.the number of admitted children in each ward is different so use proportion to gate equal distribution then randomly to select the participants. The data was collected by using training enumerators through translated structured interview questioner, data was entered and analyses was done by SPSS version 25 for and descriptive statistical analyses with frequency& percentile. The data was presented with sentences, chart and tables. Result: the overall level of satisfaction in this study was 98%. Conclusions :assessing satisfaction level of care givers in simple and cost effective way for evaluation of hospital service the findings of the present study reveal care givers more satisfied with attitude and behavior of health care provider,cleanliness of wards,waiting area and easily accessibility of emergency department.
